So I have a few ideas for featured items and some I'm working out the details for. Anyway I'm probably going to try them all and see what lasts. Tell me what you think and if you have any ideas for features I can add or try doing each week. Well here they are:
- Photos of my dogs: yeah I know its cliché but you know what its fun and theres a lot to be said about taking pictures with a difficult model.
- Strobist lessons: Basically there's this blog called strobist and it's something of a phenomena. Anyway, he has some lessons on his sight and what I'm going to do is start from the very first one and go through each and every one of them documenting it.
- My Backlog: well as an art student I have a lot of photo projects that I was proud of and this is just a way of reflecting on those projects and sharing them with everyone. If you've already been to the blog you'll know I've already started this one.
- Exploring Place: This is inspired by my summer class called "discovering place" and I just want to kind of explore this idea more but with the intention of finding cool places I can investigate photographically with the possibility of bringing models there in the future.
- COOL!: this is a kind of middle finger to my photo teachers... they HATE the word cool and also don't like photos where the substance is purely an aesthetic one. Basically I'm just going to take pictures that look cool.
- Shooting around: this involves my pocket camera. I just want to be more aware of the world around me and to slow down and take pictures throughout my day documenting interesting things I come across.
- Finding People: this one you can help me with. There's this game called sniper... well this is kinda like that... I will pick someone photograph and try to take their picture. When I say "pick someone" it can be a specific person or a kind of person (like a stereotype). Just to give you an example... find a douchebag: I go to the frat houses on campus and find the doucheyist (its kind of like a "Where's Waldo" book too.
