But basically what they found, because glass is neither a solid or a liquid, was how the molecules arranged themselves trying to become crystals but can't. Metal could possibly be cooled in a way that could make metallic glasses... I should warn you though, the article I think is purposefully unclear about whether or not the metallic glasses would be transparent and discusses the structural benefits of this kind of material and not the obvious Wonder Woman and Star Trek IV applications. I'm curious to see how this kind of research plays out...
